The Russian invasion of Georgia from 7 August, 2008, resulted in irreparable human, territorial, and political losses.

The continuous bombing from Russian side heavy damaged the whole country and its population.

Russian armed forces still remain in the East and West region of the country notwithstanding the agreement to seize the fire and remove the troops from Georgia. Photos

Hundreds of dead still remain in conflict zone.

Thousands of refugees moved to the capital of Georgia, Tbilisi. They were temporarily placed in schools and kindergartens of the Capital. The refugees suffer great health and material crisis.

Certain humanitarian aid is arriving from Europe and USA however the loss is too high to satisfy the need.

Introducing GENESIS

The GENESIS Association was founded on November 29th, 1995 to promote the health and well-being of street children, orphans, and the most impoverished sections of the population.

The GENESIS Association works to support the population of Georgia by reducing their vulnerability caused by inadequate healthcare services and the absence of social security - primarily through better access to healthcare services, promoting healthcare awareness and mobilising communities to make sustainable changes.

From August 2008 the GENESIS Association provides free of charge medical and humanitarian aid to refugees.
